Development Prospects
The promotion and application of stone plastic paper will bring
broad prospects for sustainable development for China's development of a
low-carbon economy and the construction of an environmentally friendly
society. Due to the wide application fields of stone plastic paper
(printing, decoration, packaging, etc.), some manufacturers in China are
already producing it. At present, a more suitable production process in
China can use the production of blended modified special materials,
followed by casting/rolling processes, and surface treatment to produce
synthetic paper. The inorganic powder in the synthetic paper produced by
this process accounts for 60% to 80% of the product quality, with high
production efficiency, advanced and reasonable practicality, and product
varieties that can be adjusted according to market needs.
Stone plastic paper is a plastic modified paper product produced by
combining synthetic resin, inorganic powder, and chemical additives. A
large number of inorganic powders occupy an important share in products,
while resins and additives play a crucial role, hence the term "stone
paper" in society. Our recently developed PLA/CaCO3 synthetic paper uses
polylactic acid produced from crops such as sweet potatoes and corn as a
carrier, replacing synthetic resins produced from petroleum resources.
The produced synthetic paper is used for packaging in food, daily
chemical, pharmaceutical, and other fields, The product can naturally
degrade after use, solving the problem of not being able to recycle
synthetic paper and ordinary paper at the same time. This product also
has obvious product hygiene and greenness, and is a low-carbon,
energy-saving and environmentally friendly product that the country
focuses on supporting in the development of circular economy.
